Project leader: Prof. Dr. Heiner Vogel
Project team: Christian Gerlich
Funding: Bundesministerium für Arbeit und Soziales (BMAS) as part of the funding programme rehapro nach § 11 SGB IX
Duration: 2019 – 2025

Aim

SEMpsych is the development, implementation and evaluation of the “Blaufeuer” (“Beacon”) measure. With Blaufeuer, mentally impaired employees are supported early and independently through counseling and support in accessing services from the various care sectors in order to reduce mental stress and associated social and occupational problems and ultimately to maintain their ability to work.

Methods

Three Blaufeuer counseling centers have been implemented in the pilot regions of Berlin, Cologne and Nuremberg and the implementation of the concept has been evaluated qualitatively and quantitatively (trial phase 2020-2022). The effectiveness of the measure is being reviewed (trial phase 2023-2024). Finally, recommendations for supply and continuation will be derived (transfer phase 2024-2025).

Cooperation

  • Deutsche Rentenversicherung Bund (Projektkoordination)
  • Berufsförderungswerke Berlin-Brandenburg, Köln and Nürnberg (Blaufeuer-Counselling centres)
  • Medical School Berlin
