Formative evaluation of a dual rehabilitation program in different indications - DUAL
This project aims to evaluate the pre-post effects of a dual rehabilitation approach in rehabilitants with two equivalent comorbid somatic and psychosomatic illnesses requiring rehabilitation. Dual rehabilitation corresponds to a structured cooperation between a psychosomatic and a somatic rehabilitation department.
The main research questions concern the implementation of dual rehabilitation in six somatic departments, the acceptance and satisfaction of the participants, and the short- to long-term pre-post effects concerning health-related and socio-medical outcomes. As a secondary research question, effects on socio-medical decision-making processes and the socio-medical course after one year are examined compared to control samples from the rehabilitation statistics database.
A multi-method, multi-center implementation analysis and a prospective cohort study will be conducted.
