Aims

Despite proven effectiveness, older mentally ill people who live and are cared for in nursing facilities generally do not receive any psychotherapeutic treatment.

Methods

In cooperation with the Bürgerspital Würzburg zum Hl. Geist Foundation, we are developing and implementing an interdisciplinary overall treatment concept for mentally ill residents of senior citizens' facilities with traumatic life experiences.The offer includes psychotherapeutic interventions aimed directly at the residents, as well as cooperation with relatives and further training and case discussions for employees of the facilities. The concept is evaluated in terms of acceptance, satisfaction and indications of impact factors.
