Grant-Funded Projects on Anxiety Disorders
DFG Z02 Follow-up
Anxiety disorders are very common and lead to significant individual impairment and distress. We use follow-up measurements to investigate whether functions in fear memory have a predictive value for the development of anxiety disorders. We integrate these parameters with questionnaires, (epi)genetic, hormonal and environmental information in order to create individualised prediction models. This would enable primary prevention in the area of anxiety disorders. Approximately 600 subjects aged 16-45 years are being analysed in the current evaluation. The entire data covers an age range of 8-40 years, which also allows an evaluation of age-related changes in the area of fear memory.
