Fabian Rothbauer
Fabian Rothbauer is studying human medicine in the clinical section at the Julius-Maximilians-Universität in Würzburg. Since February 2024, he has been part of the Translational Social Neuroscience Unit at the Centre for Mental Health at the University Hospital of Würzburg as a doctoral student.
In his doctoral thesis, he is focusing on the influence of social interactions in the everyday lives of people affected by affective disorders or generalised anxiety disorder. The data collection is being carried out using smartphone-based Ecological Momentary Assessment (EMA).
The research results are intended to contribute to a better understanding of the role of social contacts and social support in the course of mental illness and to improve clinical treatment.
