Therapeutic spectrum
The Department of Psychiatry, Psychosomatics, and Psychotherapy (PPP) offers help to allpatients over the age of 18. For the individual clinical pictures, we base our therapy and diagnostics on standardized guidelines established by experts and which, at present, promise the best chance of healing and improvement.
Symptoms and causes
The manifestations and symptoms of mental disorders are manifold and have a variety of causes. In some cases, organic changes in the brain cause the symptoms, in other cases an unresolved life experience is the trigger, or the cause is a metabolic disorder. The onset of mental illnesses may be acute or develop gradually.
Interdisciplinary cooperation
Since many mental disorders can have an organic cause or trigger physical reactions, we work closely with colleagues in other departments, such as the Comprehensive Heart Failure Center (CHFC) or the Center for Rare Diseases (ZESE). We take metabolic changes, hormone balance, and physical symptoms seriously and subject them to precise diagnostics. Therapy concepts are developed individually and discussed with the patient.
Focus areas
Our wide range of therapies ensures the treatment of all mental illnesses during all phases. The aim is always to reintegrate the patient into everyday life.
